Williamsburg Bridge –
East River

Soon a gardener crew came by, I advised to see me again in 2 hours in order to find more brush strokes on the canvas. But I did not know that there would be rain soon. I was impressed by the industrial buildings at the far river bank and by the formal movement of the bridge almost above me.

I thought, I'd be lucky after the first drops, and relocated under the Williamsburg Bridge. The bridge although immensely broad would not help me to long because I underestimated my paint job. The wind carried the drops to any spot under the bridge. Normally, you can still paint on in the rain, at a certain point, however, painting becomes unbearable. Everything becomes much more arduous. I. e. the provisional cleaning of the brushes, tying together the slack canvasses or moving yourself in wet soaked clothes while shivering.
